Here is where we tell you how we use any data you provide to us. We don’t ask for much, but we want you to know how we use it. You can ask for your data to be deleted or exported at any time by emailing [email protected] and asking for it.

Comments

When you leave a comment, we ask for your name and email address. Our comment system is managed by Automattic (the company that creates WordPress) and they also record your IP address. We do not sell or give away your personal information that you provide to us for leaving a comment. Automattic’s privacy policy can be found here: https://automattic.com/privacy-notice/ Data you provide along with comments is used to provide notices to you about replies, allow us to email you directly (if you consent), and otherwise keep an accurate log of your comments.

Mailing List

We use Flodesk to manage our email list and Leadpages for promoting our email list. When you sign up for our mailing list, we ask for your name and email. Flodesk also records your location. You can unsubscribe from our mailing list any time you want. We do not sell our mailing list or provide it to anyone else. We use the data you provide to our mailing list to send you updates regarding new blog posts or other items of interest via direct email.

Analytics

We use several user analytics programs (Google Analytics, Jetpack WordPress Plugin, Facebook Pixel, and Sumo.com) to help us understand the performance of our website. We do not store the information these services collect, nor do we sell or give it away to anyone. These services all comply with all applicable laws and if you would like your data deleted, exported, altered, or corrected, just let us know.

Advertising

We use several advertising and affiliate marketing programs (specifically, but not limited to, Amazon Associates, RewardStyle, and ShareASale) to generate revenue from applesandabcs.com. If you click on an ad or on an affiliate link, the service that provides that link may track your visit or may collect personal information about you. We do not have any control over whether the information is tracked or what that third party does with your information. You should read the privacy policy for that third party to be sure what they do with your information.
