I am obsessed with how this little craft turned out! I was browsing Pinterest and found this Horton craft, created by Tippytoe Crafts! I used her idea for the craft and then had the students write the sentence: “A person’s a person no matter how small!”

The students colored and cut out Horton’s trunk, then glued a pipe cleaner and pom pom ball for the flower!
I have really enjoyed reading Dr. Seuss books this week to celebrate Read Across America…he seriously was a genius. This Horton craft made my week!
