The Mayflower

Thinking of things that I am thankful for needs to be on my “to do” list more often.  Out of all of the things we are thankful for, I asked the children what would be one thing that they could take on the Mayflower with them.  I like answers that come from Kindergarten students…my favorite answer was “my blanket…” I might have to agree….

I printed the question, “If you could take one thing with you on the Mayflower, what would it be?” and lined paper onto blue construction paper.  Then I painted each child’s hand with brown paint.  Once it dried, we added sails to our fingers, and wrote down what we would take with us on the Mayflower.  This was another idea inspired by pinterest.com/michellebaldwin.
